Joanne has been a professional artist since 1985. The first half of Joanne's career was spent in the newspaper industry as and artist and later Art Director. The second half has been teaching art to children in addition to freelancing. Joanne has enjoyed freelancing for editorial, books, magazines and newspapers as well as advertising work that includes product or brand recognition. Her unique digital style alludes to her traditional watercolor training and eye for color. She tries to create a beautiful, eye catching illustration that creates a visual message that is simple and in that way, hopefully memorable.

Joanne graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in Illustration. She has won several Society of Newspaper Design awards but she feels some of her best achievements are all the amazing artwork created by her students.

 Joanne has now entered the amazing world of motion graphics! There is no limit to the illustrations in motion that can be achieved now! The possibilities are endless and she looks forward to future challenges that include both single graphics or illustrations as well as the multiple moving and changing ones - that also include sound!
